Official KCBS Certificate

I received my official KCBS Certificate in the mail over the weekend along with my official nametag, so I'm now an official Certified BBQ Judge. It's all very official.

Now I need to find some competitions around Texas to judge.

That is a nice looking Certified Judge Certificate. I have both of my KCBS certificates framed and hanging on the wall.

I was wondering if there is an actual embossed seal in the lower left corner, or if that area is just blank.

I know that on the 2012 Certified Judge Certificates that they have a gold seal. Not a fancy gold seal. Just a plain printed gold seal.

Please advise. Thank you.

Each joint is judged on the essence of Texas 'cue...sliced brisket and pork ribs. Sausage is only considered if house made. Sauce is good, but good meat needs no adornment to satisfy. Each review can only be based on specific cuts of meat on that particular day. Finally, if the place fries up catfish or serves a caesar salad, then chances are they aren't paying enough attention to the pits, so we mostly steered clear.
